記者從山東省交通運輸廳獲悉，山東省首座海島跨海大橋—省道263線南北長山聯島大橋建成並通車運行。

根據人民網報導，山東省交通運輸廳相關負責人告訴記者，該工程自2012年2月正式開工建設以來，煙台市公路局克服了海島大橋建設施工難度大、安全風險高、工期緊張等困難，充分藉鑒國內大型橋樑施工建設等方面的成熟經驗和技術，在確保工程質量的前提下，精心組織，科學調度，打破常規，合理調整施工計劃，工程施工狠抓關鍵節點。根據不同天氣情況，提前預防，科學制定針對性強的施工方案，並採取多點平行作業的方式，有效避開風浪對施工的影響，不斷加快施工進度，確保大橋提前完工通車。

記者了解到，作為『十二五』期間山東省重點公路工程專案，省道263線南北長山聯島大橋工程南端起於長島縣南長山鎮連城村望夫礁景區附近，向北跨越海域，終點位於北長山鄉南端。大橋全長1510公尺，其中橋樑長1200公尺，全線按二級公路標準設計，設計時速為60公里。

據悉，南北長山聯島大橋建成通車後，將有利改善海洋生態環境和長島縣交通現狀，對於促進當地經濟社會發展、豐富海島人文景觀具有重要意義。
