CADLILLAC作為美系代表品牌絕不為過，近年來的表現也相當突出且優異，即便面對歐系車廠的強勢襲擊，仍能以優異的技術在北美地區市場佔有一席之地，而品牌旗下的新世代中、小型房車更是不斷提升競爭，甚至具有超越歐系強權的實力，不過身為轎車旗艦的XTS的表現就不如小老弟們優秀，別說與其他品牌競爭，光是基礎配置可能都不如CTS來的好，因此CADILLAC便打算推出新世代旗艦轎車CT6突破這個窘境，而實車身影也在今年OSCAR頒獎典禮時段中搶先露出。
